This Saturday the Turku Trojans (0-6) will face the Porvoon Butchers (4-2) in Finland’s Maple League. The Trojans are coming off an overtime loss to the Seinäjoki Crocodiles on Monday, making this a short turnaround with a lot of travel. The Butchers upset the Hämeenlinna Huskies last week to put themselves in a 3-way tie for second place. For the Trojans, this game is an opportunity to get better and maybe pull off an upset for their first win of the season. The Butchers on the other hand, will be trying to keep momentum despite changing American imports on the offensive side of the ball.
TURKU TROJANS KEYS TO WIN
For the Turku Trojans, every game is about pride and proving they are getting better. Running back Juice Quesada is a consistent runner for the Trojans and must keep them in 2nd & manageable or even 3rd and short if possible. On the Defensive side of the ball the Trojans need to create turnovers. So far they are at an even +/- 0 for turnover margin this season. The Trojans defense will need to complement their offense as best they can, and turnovers that result in good field position or points will be necessary. The third key for the Trojans will be using special teams to create good field position throughout the game. If the Trojans can consistently make the Butchers drive the field and have Ville-Valtteri Suojanen make plays in the return game, they will put their offense in a much better position to succeed.

PORVOON BUTCHERS KEYS TO WIN
The Butchers proved last week that they are competing for a championship this season. This game is no different. The Butchers will have to stay within their identity on offense and run the ball effectively through the legs of running back Rickey Stevens. The Porvoon Butchers have the best offensive line in the Maple League, so this should not be a difficult task for them. Defensively, the Butchers have to stop the Trojans run game and turn the Trojans into a passing team. The Trojans offense is not built to be a pass heavy offense, so making them into one will definetely ruin their offensive gameplan. If this game is at all close, the difference maker for the Butchers will be the play of their quarterback. Playing within the Butchers system and making the plays that are needed when asked is what he will have to do, nothing more, nothing less. Last week against the Huskies, a few accurate and timely throws would have made the game a blowout instead of the tightly contested game it was. The new quarterback for the Butchers should be able to remedy that this week against the Trojans.
