Helsinki Roosters Face Tampere Saints in Second Game in Six Days

This Saturday, the undefeated Helsinki Roosters travel to Tampere to face the winless Tampere Saints as Maple League play continues. On paper this game can be perceived as an easy win for the Roosters. Averaging 440 yards per game in addition to 41 points per game makes the Roosters a tough opponent for anyone. These numbers are very similar for the Saints defense that gives up an average of 432 yards of offense as well as a 42.5 points per game total. But as the saying goes, the game is played on the field. . .

The Roosters team is playing lights out right now and I could name every player on their roster as a reason why they will win this game, but I won’t. I will say that the offense goes through quarterback Brandon Connette and if he plays well, so will the Roosters offense. On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Santtu Äyräväinen is a difference maker. The roosters defensive line and secondary are great, but the linebacking corps will make the difference in containing the agile quarterback Raleigh Yeldell, and that starts with Santtu. The x-factor for the Roosters will be running back Jaycen Taylor. He proved in the big game against the Wasa Royals that he cannot be matched defensively because of his versatility as a runner and pass catcher. If the Roosters get him involved in the game, he will definitely make an impact in the outcome of the game.

  • BRANDON CONNETTE PLAYS WELL, OFFENSE PLAYS WELL

  • LINEBACKERS CONTAIN AGILE QUARTERBACK

  • GET JAYCEN TAYLOR INVOLVED AS A GAME CHANGER

TAMPERE SAINTS KEYS TO WIN

The Saints have had two embarrassing losses so far this season, but are coming off a much needed bye week before playing the defending champions. This will be their biggest advantage in this game. The Roosters just played a physical game on Monday, and now will travel to Tampere to play a well rested team. The Saints must use this physical edge to compete in this game. Offensively, the Saints will have to find a way to give quarterback Raleigh Yeldell help. The quarterback is a one man show right now that is not given the opportunity to be successful. Receiver Tiny Juzz seems to be capable of making plays at times, so hopefully he is more intergrated in the offense this week. The Saints need to create chaos on defense. They lack talent and depth to keep up with the Rooster high powered offense, but they don’t lack effort. Led by defensive back Benjamin Ylipää, the Saints defense is more than capable of mixing things up and giving the Roosters some different looks to create confusion.

  • USE THE SCHEDULE TO THEIR ADVANTAGE

  • GIVE RALEIGH YELDELL OFFENSIVE HELP

  • CREATE CHAOS ON DEFENSE

PERFECT PERVIS PREDICTION

I see the Roosters winning this game without much struggle. In my opinion the Saints are not physically or mentally strong enough to compete with the Roosters. Since it seems fun for people to guess scores, I’m predicting the Roosters win, 43-12.
